I spent years in meetings, boardrooms and presentations silently wondering if I was enough. Do I know enough? Did I prepare enough?
In this state, I was constantly seeking validation from outside of myself. Hoping that someone would recognise how brilliant and capable I was - and make everything ok.
Sure, this recognition happened on rare occasions. And I'm deeply grateful.
But when you feel not enough, the majority of the time people that show up are critical and judgemental. And it just proves how "not enough" you are.
So I doubled down on my work, desperately trying to prove I was worthy of reward and recognition. But the critical, judgemental people kept showing up.
The one shift that changed everything...
When I began to look inward and accept that I was the common denominator in everything I was experiencing in my life - everything changed.
It wasn't easy. It was confronting and uncomfortable. But at the same time, I felt my energy return. My body exhale. And my decisions become clearer. And my market value went up.
Finally, the version of me I always knew was there, emerged. My power came back online. And I could believe in the potential and possibilities of my future.
I had unstoppable belief in myself. My work elevated in leaps and bounds. I had the energy for creative projects outside of work. And my relationships deepened.
I learned that when you flip the script — and shift to self-responsibility — everything changes.
Most people can't stand having a mirror put up to them. So you have to summon all of your courage to take ownership of your stuff. But when you do, the rewards are infinite.
Today I work with sensitive and empathic leaders to clear the patterns that have been quietly undermining their leadership — and replace them with inner authority, emotional capacity, and a leadership identity that is unapologetically, powerfully theirs.
I am not standing outside this work telling you how to do it. I've been where you are and I am in it — every single day with clients and my own self-development. That is my greatest qualification.
